I am passionate and dedicated to connecting with people to assist through any challenges they may be facing. I embrace the strong belief that individuals need to hold on a focus on healing rather than not feeling. My approach involves bringing those feelings and memories we try to avoid to the front of our consciousness and process and heal from them in more appropriate and healthy ways.
I enjoy working with adults that stem from a variety of backgrounds. My specialty involves working with trauma and mood disorders including those with depression, bipolar, and/or anxiety. I also hold previous experience as a behavioral therapist and enjoy incorporating replacing irrational thoughts, feelings, and behaviors with positive ones.
I offer a safe, caring, and compassionate environment for all individuals seeking support surrounding self-exploration, trauma, substance use, depression, anxiety, career, and other challenges. I enjoy adding humor and unconditional positive regard into my sessions to add to the sense of connection, lightness, and support that make up healing.
I apply the Humanistic theory into my sessions, and I utilize various therapeutic approaches such as EMDR, Mindfulness, Person-Centered, Nonviolent Communication, Solution Focused Therapy, and various others. I believe that through a therapeutic counseling relationship, every individual can unlock resolutions to issues they are facing within their life.
I have achieved a Bachelor of Arts, dual degree, from the University of Colorado, Boulder in Psychology and Sociology. Additionally, I have completed my Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology with Counseling Licensure through The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I have also received, and continue to receive, various continuing education training to ensure that I can provide the most beneficial services and support possible.
I would love to connect with you to assess if I am a good fit for you and your journey to healing.
